Hello and thank you for supporting Wallingford Long Distance Sculls by volunteering to help at the event
We are using new software to make the volunteering sign-up more streamline. The link below will take you to the sign-up form but please read the instructions carefully before you do:
You will need to start by creating an account on the sign-up form. This should then take you to the sign-up sheet, to see what each job involves please hover the cursor over the word ‘Volunteer’ in any box and you will see a pop-up box with the job description. Once you have decided which role you would like to do simply click ‘Volunteer’ and you will have you name added. Please make sure you have the right credentials for the job – some roles require rowing & racing knowledge; medical qualifications; launch driving experience etc.
The roles are broken down into time slots to offer flexibility around racing, childcare etc. PLEASE sign up for as many hours as you can – usually we ask people to do at least half a day, so particularly where jobs are split into 2 hour shifts please sign up for at least 2.
The link to sign up is here
I am racing, how does the sign up take account of this?
I am afraid it is first come, first served. If you are racing and you would like to do a specific job you will have to wait until you have confirmation of your race times before you sign up.
I accidentally signed up for a job, how do I un-volunteer?
Just click on your name and it will take you off the sign up.
Can I sign up my family?
Each person will need their own login so they appear as a different name on the sign-up and team leaders know who to expect. To do this please logout and create a new sign-up form.
Who will have my details?
Lucinda Powell, as volunteer coordinator, will have access to the data you input to the form, this will be used to contact you regarding volunteering for this event. All the information is sent out using Mailchimp, you can unsubscribe from this at any time. Your contact details will also be passed on to your team leader, again they will only contact you regarding this event with details such as where and when you need to be in position, contact details for the day etc. The Events Committee may retain your email address and may contact you about future events. If you no longer wish to volunteer, or be contacted by the Events Committee, please email email@example.com
